Fishing Spider - Dolomedes triton

Fishing Spider - Dolomedes triton
Sharon, Windsor County, Vermont, USA
June 5, 2004
Size: 3/4" head+body
In a small pond.
I recently posted what I thought was a fishing spider but was apparently a wolf spider. This one seems more likely to be a fishing spider (Dolomedes), since the eyes are 4+4.

Dolomedes striatus ?
Compare with

exactly :)
the 4-4 arrangement suggests a Dolomedes. if the eyes were 4-2-2 it would have been a Lycosid
