Colaspis brunnea ? - Colaspis

Colaspis brunnea ? - Colaspis
Leesburg, Lee County, Georgia, USA
July 17, 2010
Size: 4.45mm
The word Colaspis will be an anchor on my headstone. Guessing on this one, not real
confident, especially as the apical antennomere is not black as in the guide. It will
be a great day when someone tackles this complex and makes life easier.

Ed Riley says: "brunnea / floridana – ex transition area"
Moved from Grape Colaspis.

Colaspis
I wouldnt fret much over antennal color. Still, this could be C. floridana. Blake (1974) put out a key to the costate species. It is available free as a PDF online, but I will send it to you via email.
