Yellow Spotted Jewel Beetle - Buprestis confluenta

Yellow Spotted Jewel Beetle - Buprestis confluenta
In the woods north of Westwood, Lassen County, California, USA
Size: Body length 16.5mm
I found this beetle while out firewood cutting north of Westwood in some summer in the late 1980s - the dark-age of my insect collecting when I recorded little if any dates or exact locations. I have been slowly recollecting many of those species with all the right collecting info - but not this species yet. It is a very beautiful insect!
