Meadow along riparian in oak/pine forest. Individual with one stripe on the hind femur and a brighter yellow underside to abdomen.

In theory
according to Tinkham, the yellow color is a character of E. balli, but I don't have any references that give better details for distinguishing (for instance, E. ephippiata is supposed to have a "shorter" ovipositor, but how much shorter, and compared to what???).
