Trapdoor spider?

Trapdoor spider?
Nashville, Tennessee, USA
March 4, 2006
I found this spider strolling across our front walkway at night. It looks to me like a trapdoor spider, maybe Cyrtaucheniidae?

Yes.
Indeed, this is a male trapdoor spider, but beyond that I'm unsure. They went and broke up the 'old' family Ctenezidae, and I haven't caught up with all the new, resulting families. Not an Antrodiaetus, though. At least I can say that with confidence:-)

Thanks for the ID!
I didn't see any other trapdoor spiders in the guide with similar coloration, and I don't know enough about spiders to make any kind of ID. He seemed like an intersting find though and is currently in a terrarium on my top shelf.
