Bathtub spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus

Bathtub spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus
Efland, Orange County, North Carolina, USA
March 5, 2006
Size: 5/8"
Questionable as a bathing companion. Spider was unable to escape bathtub. I assume, as it is now below freezing again :-( that it just wanted to get out of the cold.

Parson Spider
My guess is Parson Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus. See guide page.
