Some kinda bug - Necydalis laevicollis

Some kinda bug - Necydalis laevicollis
Port Alberni, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada
August 7, 2010
Size: 3/4" long
Seen on a cloudy, warm afternoon in an urban area. I got really close to take the picture, and it never reacted, although it appeared to be looking back at me. It had transparent wings but no wing casings.
