Oncopeltus fasciatus

Oncopeltus fasciatus
Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, York County, Maine, USA

This one looked a little different from the rest.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

In what way
looks normal to me.

Just because it was more yellow then orange
All the rest I saw had more orange and red coloring.

Teneral?
When they are freshly molted (teneral) they are paler and then the colors set in. I have seen some like this.

I think so
Thanks!

Flash???
fingertips make me think that lighting may play a role (although I have seen some very light ones) but the lighter they are the more the light may make them look bleached out.
