Clemens' False Skeletonizer - Acoloithus falsarius caterpillar - Acoloithus falsarius

Moved
Moved from Leaf Skeletonizer Moths. Decided to keep them all together

Do you remember where you saw this?
Here's our research:
Wagner says there are only four Eastern Zygaenidae
Harrisina americana we know well and feeds on grape
Pyromorpha dimidiata we don't know but Wagner says the caterpillar feeds on dead leaves
Neoprocris floridana we have in the guide and it feeds on Laurel Cherry, Prunus
Acoloithus falsarius is what we think we have here and it feeds on grape.
If you found this on grape it must be Acoloithus falsarius.

Don't remember what plant it was on
Now I wish I had taken notes:-(

Moved
Moved from Butterflies and Moths.
Thanks J & J. Yurika found a nice resource that shows a very similar photo to hers and this one.

And she has seen the adults
in the same place! Have you seen Acoloithus?
Charlie has!

Check out Yurika's thoughts on

We were thinking it would help to move anything
that looks like this to Zygaenidae in the hopes that once we had them there we might make sense of them, but we don't know how to make that decision. Yours certainly looks like it belongs in that family as do several of Yurika's

There is something reasonably similar
posted as Zygaenidae here

Looks pretty close to me
Do you think it should be moved to that family?
