Lance-tipped Darner (Aeshna constricta)? - Aeshna constricta

Lance-tipped Darner (Aeshna constricta)? - Aeshna constricta
Fisher, Polk County, Minnesota, USA
August 20, 2010
Size: length ~ 7-8 cm
I'm thinking that this may be a male Lance-tipped Darner (Aeshna constricta), but I may be wrong about that. I'm looking for verification or correction on this specimen. Thank you! ;-)

Yes, this is a male Lance-tipped Darner (Aeshna constricta).

Thanks, Ben!
I'm wondering if you would recommend a good field guide to the Odonata of the upper midwest? I'm really looking forward to leaning my dragonflies next summer. ;-)
