This eucnemid has been identified...
as Arrhipis subacuta (Guerin-Meneville). This is a NEW US RECORD for the species north of Mexico. It can be separated from any other Mexican species by the fourth antennomere being longer than wide.

Upon examining...
the specimens, I was incorrect with the determinations. The specimens did not match with any of the Neotropical species of Arrhipis. But, when I compared them with Protofarsus, I found these specimens are a complete match with Protofarsus caribicus Muona. One diagnostic feature to separate Protofarsus from Arrhipis is the lateral margins of the elytra. The lateral carina along the elytra is complete in Protofarsus, whereas it is not in Arrhipis.
