Surinam cockroach - Pycnoscelus surinamensis

Surinam cockroach - Pycnoscelus surinamensis
Laredo - Marriott parking lot shrubs, Webb County, Texas, USA
August 20, 2010
Size: 1 inch +/-
Very pretty cockroach. Found on a shrub in a Marriott parking lot.

Moved
I would say more "cute" than "pretty" but I have high standards for cockroaches!

Moved from Cockroaches and Termites.

Can't help with the ID, but
it struck me that the phrase "very pretty cockroach" is one that you don't encounter much outside of the BugGuide community. :)
