Polistes annularis, female (NC)
A very nice series of pictures (and apparently the first of this species on bugguide)! Note the contrastingly coloured apical flagellomeres and the slender first metasomal segment (as in P. exclamans which is heavily marked with yellow). Otherwise similar to P. metricus.
