Unknown Pyemotes mite species

Size: microscopic?
The specimen was found in the skin scrape of a completely hairless and pruritic German Shepherd belonging to by a volunteer at our Animal Shelter.The owner's veterinarian couldn't identify the mite. We normally see Sarcops and Demodex mites in dogs with hairloss. I was hoping the mite could be positively identified and placed into its proper taxa on BugGuide. I think it is a pyemotes mite. Sorry i didn't measure the mite, a friend took the photo. I assume it was a 10x or 40X objective lense. I also have a short movie if it would be helpful.

Not a Pyemotes. This is a species in the family Tarsonemidae. These mites are primarily fungivorous or phytophagous - none are parasitic on vertebrates, so this association is accidental.
