Mt. Olive Cemetery, Southern Appalachians, Knox County, Tennessee, USA
August 26, 2010
Size: normal
Both yellow and black morphs of the tiger swallowtail have been abundant on butterfly bushes, but today I saw an intermediate "gray" form. I thought these might have evidentiary value. I don't need an ID, this is Papilio glaucus, but an individual with coloration intermediate between the yellow morph and the black.
