small weevil - Dryophthorus americanus

small weevil - Dryophthorus americanus
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
March 12, 2006
Size: 3.5mm
Found a bunch of these weevils living with an ant colony, under bark on a big old pine log.

Curculionidae: Dryophthorus americanus
Thought I had identified this earlier, but apparently not so. Commonly found under/in dead conifer bark.

You did
It was just a second picture of the same beetle. Thanks Don.
