Green-eyed moth, possibly Schinia? - Heliothis phloxiphaga

Green-eyed moth, possibly Schinia? - Heliothis phloxiphaga
El Cerrito, Contra Costa County, California, USA
August 26, 2010
Size: est. 17mm wing side?
Seen on a seldom-used dirt-and-gravel access road moderately spotted with weeds. Eyes are a light lime/chartreuse green. Not skittish--let me take multiple photos including close-ups. From browsing bugguide.net starting with silhouettes, I'm guessing that this might be a flower moth (genus Schinia), but I couldn't find a good match in the species images. Any suggestions appreciated!
