I found this female Parcoblatta under a log here in Michigan. She's still hanging around, and she has plenty of babies to keep her company! I'm thinking Parcoblatta virginica.

I agree that there are differences between this cockroach and your other submission:

But these differences could be normal variation. I believe they are the same species and I suspect P. virginica for the reasons detailed here:


The only way to definitively identify these is if you are able to raise the offspring to maturity. If one is a male, the specialized structures underneath the wings are diagnostic. It is not that difficult to raise these wood cockroaches, although most people are not up for the task!
