unidentified moth - Syssphinx hubbardi
Elephant Butte, Sierra County, New Mexico, USA
August 25, 2010
Size: 1 inch long
This was found on the ground next to a building in Elephant Butte. The surrounding area is Chihuahuan desert and riparian. The pink color of the underwing and black spots seem distinctive but I haven't been able to ID it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
