Southern Flannel Moth - Megalopyge opercularis - male

Southern Flannel Moth - Megalopyge opercularis - Male
Durham County, North Carolina, USA
June 29, 2004
Found at a light, posed, and released. (Chilling does not seem to be necessary for these moths--they are very passive.) This is presumably a male--it has very large antennae.
