This little Butterfly was a Tease - Phyciodes tharos - Male
Silsbee, within the Big Thicket, Hardin County, Texas, USA
July 7, 2010
Size: about 1 to 1 1/2 inch
This little butterfly posed for me for 5 minutes at least. I have a dozen pictures of it in different poses. It just kept turning around in different positions for me to take more pictures. Again, I was flower shooting - not looking for butterflies or moths. Any info would be great. Thanks!

The ones by me are not the least shy, either.

Thank You Sara!
I live in a very special area of Southeast Texas called The Big Thicket and I am collecting and identifying all the flowers on and near my property this summer and some of my flowers just happen to come with insects - which makes them that much cooler!
Thanks for the I.D. on the butterfly!
