I've several of theses mantids over the past few days, especially at night at the lights.

Thank you for the ID and additional information. I never realize male and female Carolina Mantids were so dimorphic, though since taking and posting this photo, I've seen them mating.

Carolina mantis
That's the adult male Stagmomantis carolina . Adult male mantis usually attracted to light because of food. The adult male is able to fly, unlike female.
