Fritillary on Joe-Pye-Weed - Speyeria atlantis

Fritillary on Joe-Pye-Weed - Speyeria atlantis
Sharon, Windsor County, Vermont, USA

I think genus Speyeria. Can anyone narrow down the species?

for Vermont. Narrow pale band between silver spots on HW eliminates Great Spangled. Be nice to see a dorsal view, but the darkish wing margins suggest Atlantis rather than Aphrodite. Unless someone makes a counter argument I would say Speyeria atlantis

I posted another shot
Thanks for the tips, Tony. I posted the best "dorsal" view I have. I have some other fritillary shots from that day, but I can't be sure they're the same individual. #45173 was taken 6 seconds earlier on the same plant, so I'm confident it's the same one.

From what I can see of the do
From what I can see of the dorsal shot I would agree it is NOT a Aphrodite, due to it lacking a specific black bar on the forwing. So good chance it is an Atlantis.

Atlantis
Another easy way to tell Atlantis from Aphrodite is that Atlantis has blue/gray eyes, and Aphrodite has yellow/brown eyes.

Thanks everyone
Going through all the images and checking these characters makes it clear enough. I'll move it to the Guide.
