neon green little fella - Siphanta acuta

neon green little fella - Siphanta acuta
West Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California, USA
September 6, 2010
Size: 2 x 1.5 cm
Found this on the steering wheel of my car at night, inside an underground parking structure. I think he/she was lost, possibly a katydid but with tiny legs beneath the body. Color almost a translucent, glowing neon green; smooth skin as far as I could tell. Size no larger than 2cm long. Relatively flat, wide body. It didn't try to fly at all, in fact had no apparent wings. Sorry for the poor picture quality, it was hard to get a clear picture in the dark. Can anyone tell me what it is? I've grown quite attached to my recollections of him/her. Thanks!

Planthopper - Acanalonia conica?
I can't see details, but maybe...

I'm more inclined
to think it's Siphanta:

Amazing! I think you're right
That was fast, thanks! Good to know. This picture is even blurrier w/out flash but it really did practically glow in the dark.
