There's a parasite egg on this larva. I wonder if it will survive or not.

Did you keep the caterpillar and parasite? It would be nice to get the life cycle. The
one I found
grew fast.
Could this be the
Pine Webworm Moth – (Zeller, 1848)
? No photos but the host plant is relevant.

That would be a good choice. I did save the caterpillar, and it's in a cocoon now. I'm hoping it matures, but it looks like I don't have the parasite.

There is a group of species that remind us of
Pococera, but we don't know the genus well at all. Once again we have great hopes for the new Wagner!
