STINGING CATERPILLAR
because of the light colored band on the middle dorsal surface it eliminates M. disstria out of the question. its also on a cherry tree, its primary host.

yeah, its a stinger, hope you didn't touch it

I've been playing with one for a long time and I'm jst now figuring out that it stings!!!!!OMG
