Malacosoma americanum
- Eastern Tent Caterpillar Moth
. I think it's on chokecherry (
Prunus virginiana
).

STINGING CATERPILLAR
because of the light colored band on the middle dorsal surface it eliminates
M. disstria
out of the question. its also on a cherry tree, its primary host.
yeah, its a stinger, hope you didn't touch it
