Moth with cross pattern on wings - Haploa clymene

Moth with cross pattern on wings - Haploa clymene
Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont, USA
September 3, 2010
Size: 1 inch
I found this moth in a windowsill, dead. I have never seen this pattern on a moth's wings before, and am curious what it's name is.
