Hairy/Spiny Spider? - Neoscona crucifera

Hairy/Spiny Spider? - Neoscona crucifera
Pleasant Valley , Clay County, Missouri, USA
September 16, 2010
When I first saw this spider, I thought it was one of the L. Cornutus spiders I commonly see on the porch, but when I got up close this guy is definitely different. He appears to be covered in spines or hairs, and so far have struck out on an ID. I'm going to look through the orb weavers again but anyone else have an ID just in case?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you both very much for the ID!
It's appreciated. :)

We would have made the same suggestion
Neoscona crucifera

Neoscona
I'd guess. Maybe crucifera.
