Negatrius caurinus (Horn) - Zorochros caurinus

Negatrius caurinus (Horn) - Zorochros caurinus
Coquitlam River, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
June 22, 2010
Size: 2 mm
Collected from sand/gravel beach by the river; ID made via comparison w/ UBC collection.

Moved
Moved from Negastrius caurinus.

This species fits the description of Zorochros, with the double, margined prosternal sutures. Also, Wells (1996) published a key to Nearctic Negastrius and did not include this species.

Probably outdated taxonomy
the specimens at the UBC collection were labeled as 'Negastrius caurinus'.
