Size: around 1 cm
Many, many of these mostly on dead twigs of what I think is swamp white oak. Very hard and woody, seem to be old and empty. Some have a round hole, some don't.

Oak Rough Bullet Gall?
I think the tree is Swamp White Oak (Quercus bicolor) and suspect the galls are Oak Rough Bullet Galls.
