Calendar

off by a day

I recently noticed that all the images I posted before Feb 28th this year have had their photograph date changed to one day earlier. For example, this photo was taken April 1st, 2005 but the date on BugGuide now says March 31st. Images I've posted since Feb 28th have the correct date.
I guess one day is not that important; just wondering whether this has happened to anyone else's photos.

off by a day in different directions
I have noticed that the forum postings are also off by several hours, for instance, right now it is March 27, 7:58 Pm EST in my neck of the woods, but there are forum topics posted as on March 28 1AM and images posted as on March 28 7:21AM. Go and figure.
As for my own images I have been checking them too and they are all dated a day earlier, including the most recent ones as well as older postings and regardless of year in which the picture was taken (between 2001 and 2005).

Ah Ha!
I thought I had misposted! Thanks for pointing this out.

Same here!
Weird. Should we fix them ourselves or wait for BugGuide to fix itself?

Don't change
I checked Robin's image and the underlying timestamp is 1112331600 which translates to April 1, 2005.

So it's a display problem, not a data problem.

1112331600
... seconds since January 1, 1970?

A leap the wrong way...
A random check of my images shows the same thing. I wonder if it has anything to do with Leap Years.
