Twitchy fly - Pogonortalis doclea

Size: approx. 6mm
Fly looked and acted like a wasp, i.e. twitching wings and tail. Wings sort of rotated towards the front; note odd angle in one photo. Two specimens shown.

Platystomatidae.
Some nice captures of one of the "picture-winged flies" in the family Platystomatidae, closely allied to the Otitidae (Ulidiidae).
