Large Springtail - Pogonognathellus dubius

Large Springtail - Pogonognathellus dubius
Bear Rocks area, Dolly Sods Wilderness, Monongehela National Forest, Tucker County, West Virginia, USA
September 6, 2010
At some point it jumped and I lost track of it; then quickly found it down between the air mattresses, looking stunned and missing part of its antenna, which made me sad, though it also allowed me to get this underside shot. After I had gotten off a few shots, it suddenly "came back to life" and I put it out of the tent.
