moth caterpillars - Doa ampla

moth caterpillars - Doa ampla
NE part of county, Private Road 180 off Park Rd. 37, Medina County, Texas, USA
June 9, 2009
The caterpillars were on Stillingia texana plants. I believe they are Doa ampla, since the adult moths that developed after I raised the caterpillars look like the pictures of that species. They appear fairly often here.

8041 - Doa ampla looks likely
Linda, they do resemble your 8041 - Doa ampla caterpillars that Ron has posted on his site pteratory.com

3424 - Ethelgoda texana also feeds on Stillingia but we can rule that out.
