Moved
Moved from Libellula.

New note from Gayle -
"#46147, 46148 The uniformly bright costa and black hind tibia (barely visible on #46147) identify this as L. auripennis. This is a male."
We agree and will move these two images.

Golden-winged skimmer?
According to Dunkle (D-flies through binocs) the Needhams Skimmer's hindleg is brown on lower reaches, instead of black. If this is true then I am leaning toward the Golden-Winged Skimmer. I have no experience with southern d-flies as I am in NE MN where we still have 2 feet of snow on the ground. Six weeks or more until we get emergence.
