Found in close proximity to this pair on Solanum carolinense. Although I did not rear any of the larvae, I checked this patch of horsenettle almost daily for several weeks, and only one species was ever observed (and in some abundance.) I cannot imagine that this would be anything other than Gratiana pallidula.

This larva is very similar to this one:
I wonder whether the ID of one or the other is wrong.
