Rest In Peace, Don Juan!

Here he lays after two days of coupling and a half-day of courtship. I had found him clinging to one of my friend's cars (visiting from a county over!). Not sure if he fell on it here or hitched the ride. I placed him in the habitat with Bertha (first female), and within two days the courtship began. Two days after that, I found him in the morning, dead on the bottom of the habitat and Bertha looking quite content (at least in my eyes!).

I think he died a happy man. He did not have to fight for Bertha, and was able to be with her in peace without predators. What a lucky guy! Bertha has been laying eggs as well, though not as many as Gretta, who is larger and possibly a bit more 'well endowed'.
