small beetle - Mycetophagus melsheimeri

small beetle - Mycetophagus melsheimeri
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
March 31, 2006
Size: 5mm
found under bark. Identified from the specimen by Donald Chandler as Mycetophagus melsheimeri.

Mycetophagidae ?
Looks like an elongate Mycetophagid, but I'm not sure - it is a bit too narrow. Save it for me please, and I will poke through the collection one of these days. Definitely not a teneb.

Hairy Fungus Beetle?
Looks like I'm going to have a few beetles to give you. Thanks again.
