Spitting Spider - Scytodes atlacoya

Spitting Spider - Scytodes atlacoya
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
April 1, 2006
Size: around 5 mm
I got curious about the huge cocoon looking thing and decided to take a closer look this morning. I tore it off the wall with a stick and found that it has a large hole on the side that faced the building. I also found this tiny and nearly transparent spider on it. It was so small I had no clue what it was until I got it home. I was just saying yesterday how much I wanted to get a shot of one of these. I must have good Kharma. :)
