Not a pet-- found it off the trail at Cedar Ridge preserve. I'll add another image, though the second one is sort of washed out and doesn't give a good sense of how dark the legs were.

that's nice... shows a more nature background. Hopefully, someone will see this that is more familiar with Mygalomorphs. If you don't get an ID in a few days you might want to move your image here.
