False Unicorn Caterpillar ?
Puyallup (Bradley Lake Park), Pierce County, Washington, USA
September 22, 2010
Found in the crook of a large fir tree under some 'leaf litter'. Obviously being used as a host for braconid wasps.

Looks like
it has a bunch of tachinid eggs on it too. Are these two photos the same individual? What happened to the cocoons?

The cocoons fell off
when I picked it up, but yes it is the same specimen. I replaced the cocoons the best I could when I put the caterpillar back.

Adult wasps?
Did something come out of the cocoons? It would be nice to know and to have pictures of them.
