from J.D. Pinto: "Either E. rileyi or E. caviceps.
"...Can't see diameter of pit next to eye, nor the outline of the occiput.
E. rileyi
has a much larger pit than
caviceps
and
caviceps
has a rather concave occiput at the midline. My 1991 key (couplet 93) separating members of this species group has a dumb error - giving the occiput as convex in both parts of the couplet - it should be 'concave' in the second half."

Epicauta
Cannot quite completely key this specimen out without seeing underside. But, I am not sure this is E. rileyi. Enlarging the image, I do not see such a prominent pit around the eye. Without seeing the underside of the abdomen and the hind tibial spurs, I am leaning towards E. caviceps.

That was my second option.
I'll shoot the underside if I still have an unpinned one in the freezer

frontal shot
please try to add a front-on shot of the face/head; if a pit is above the eye it may be better seen from that perspective. Thanks!
