Melanoplus arizonae? - Melanoplus arizonae - female

Melanoplus arizonae? - Melanoplus arizonae - Female
San Bernardino NWR, approx. 14.5 mi E of Douglas, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
October 14, 2010
Arid and rather patchy grassland with Salsola. I was thinking about M. femurrubrum and sanguinipes but perhaps arizonae makes more sense?

I think you are correct.
Females can be a pain to ID, but this looks right on to me.

Moved from Melanoplus.
