Odorous Ants - Tapinoma

Odorous Ants - Tapinoma
Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
April 2, 2006
Size: 3mm
There was a rove beetle running around under the rock with the ants.

Cropping
Why don't you submit another image, tightly cropped, of the beetle? Oh, well, I just saw that you already did just that.

Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae
The rove beetle is a nice Aleocharinae. Get rid of the ants and photograph the beetle!

ants/beetles or beetles/ants
They looked like one big happy family, and there's ant-like stone beetles, and ant-loving beetles, so why not a shot of ants and beetles. :-}

Ant war
Whooo boy I sense an impending war between the ant lovers and the coleopterists! Why can't we just get along?
