Acronicta cf. heitzmani - Acronicta heitzmani
Douglasville, Paulding County, Georgia, USA
April 5, 2006
Attracted to lights at carwash.

* Edit *
Although originally identified with help from James Adams at Georgia Lepidoptera as A. heitzmani, after some discussion with David Wagner, it appears this specimen may possibly be a variation of A. impleta. The wing pattern matches heitzmani thoroughly, however, Dr. Wagner pointed out (providing an excellent specimen photo - much needed for heitzmani) that the thoracic scaling does not quite match heitzmani, but is akin to impleta. Thus I leave open the consideration of A. impleta.
