P.E. Skelley: "My guess is Oscarinus rusicola"
Moved from Aphodius.

cow dung
D&A says "associated with cow dung", which is getting pretty scarce around my place. Guess no one want to milk 3 times a day 7 days a week year round for little profit. But there are plenty of horses standing around pooping.

Oscarinus
Looks more like A. (Oscarinus) rusicola to me. Elytral striations, pronotal punctures and characteristics of the head are all c/w this species, as is the collecting methods (not uncommon at lights in the East).
