Larva of Prioninae species

Larva of Prioninae species
Powhatan County, Virginia, USA
April 2, 2006
Size: About two inches long
Can anyone ID this to a species? I have only found adults of two species in my yard, so it is probably Orthosoma brunneum or Prionus imbricornis. Jim has a shot of a larval O. brunneum and it seems to mach mine, but there is probably very, very little difference between the larva of root borers. Just thought I’d try. I am now trying to rear this larva so I might get lucky...
