Erythraeidae
Wow! That's a really neat erythraeid. The coloration does not denote age, but rather species/genera. You have a really high diversity of erythraeids (the group I'm working on for my PhD) in AZ. If you still have the specimen (or are willing to get more), you'd be doing me and my research a huge favor by sending me some! I'd pay for shipping and supplement collection expenses if you're willing.

Sorry, no specimen available
I only photographed the mite after I found it under a rock, and unfortunately I was only in Arizona on vacation so I'm unable to find any more at this point. I probably saw a total of three of these mites in the desert at the base of Superstition Mountain; quite stunning!
