Size: 8.3mm wo/mand.
Found in rotting wood and id appreciated.

larva of Dendroleon
Hi,
this is the larva of
Dendroleon obsoletus
(Say, 1839).
I’m particularly interested in it… can you describe me more precisely the micro-environment where you found it and especially how you collected it?

Yes ,found while looking for beetles in an old dead
and dry tree,type not known but not a conifer although the area is
mostly pines,very near Bouge Chitto National Wildlife Refuge if
you want to check it out,if you list your email I will send you
